Dallas State Fair

While in Dallas we were able to go to the Dallas State Fair.  It was a neat experience.  We went on a Saturday with football games going on.  There were tons and tons of people but we had a blast.  This was the first time to go for Addison and I.  Cody and his family would go every year as children.  We ate of coarse Corny dogs....we tried the fried frito pie and chicken fried bacon.  The fried frito pie was ok...It tasted a frito pie that was fried.  Can't say that it was anything special.  The chicken fried bacon was Yummy!  NOT one bit healthy but neither was anything else that we had at the fair.

These are from the petting zoo at the fair.

These are from the Little Hands on the farm exhibit.  This area was really cute.  Addison was to young to understand everything but she seems to have fun.  You get act like you are working on a farm by planting and gathering your crops, milking cows, driving tractors, and gathering eggs.

 After eating Cheetos!!!

Addison riding the carousel with Grandmother again.

Caroline wasn't able to make to the fair the last two years because of being in the hospital....So we were all excited that we got to go with her this year!!!

Dallas Zoo

The other week we went up to Dallas and spent the weekend with Cody's family.  We had a wonderful time.  We went to the Dallas Zoo and to the State Fair.  It was so nice to see Addison with her grandparents and Aunts & Uncles.  It seemed like they really enjoyed having her around too.

These are of Aunt Caroline and Cody playing pig in the middle with Addison.

Riding the carousel at the zoo with Grandmother.

This one makes me smile...with the big smile on Addison's face!  Looks like she is having fun.

Addison riding a pony with Grandad.  Apparently the ladies that were working there were commenting on how laid back Addison is.  How she wasn't even scared and not holding on while she rode the pony.  The pony's name was Little Joe.

Addison pointing out the big Koi fish in the tank.
They had a little petting zoo with goats but I was kind of nervous with the goats.  They were acting crazy so we didn't stay in there for to long.
This rabbit was HUGE!!!  This picture does not do it justice!
 Grandad showing Addison the monkeys.

 Grandmother showing Addison more monkeys.

Camels that you can ride.  Addison was to little to ride them but they let us come up and pet them.

 Rhino!
Cute picture of Addison sitting on the turtle.
Addison showing Grandmother the huge frog.
 Alligators!

Three monkeys and Addison!  Ha Ha
We are being silly.  The alligator is biting my head and Addison's leg.
Now it is getting Cody's bottom.

The Gaints of the Savanna!!  I will have to say that this was the best parts of the Zoo.

The giraffes!!  This part was so fun!   Kind of scary too!!  As you can see in the picture below how close you can get to the giraffes.  You weren't aloud to touch them but you can feed them.
Looks like Ceason is giving the giraffe a kiss on the nose!
This is where I got a little bit nervous.  This giraffe was sooo close to us.  I didn't know what it was going to do.
Ceason feeding the giraffe some lettuce before it stole it all out of her hand.
