Addison Paige Clemens

Ok....So I am new at this and I really don't know what the heck I am doing....so you will have to forgive me! I am trying! So here we go.

Cody and I were blessed with the most beautiful little girl on August 10, 2009 at 10:52 AM. She was 7lb 6oz and 22 inches long. We had went into the hospital on August 9 to be induced that evening. We had got to the hospital and they give me some medicine for my cervix and a sleeping pill. They want you to get as much rest as possible the night before, so that is why i took a sleeping pill. At around 5 AM, my water spontaneously breaks! And that is when the pain started a little while after that. Yes...I am one of those women that received an epidural and it was HEAVEN!!! I don't know why mothers choose to have their children naturally. They are crazy when there is drugs out there like that. After I received my epidural, I was laughing and talking with family and friends, when Addison decided to be uncooperative. Her heart rate dropped down into the 80's and they weren't able to get her to bring it back up, so we had to have an emergency c-section. We are both doing great. The doctor said that she did have her cord wrapped around her neck, so they think maybe that is what caused her heart rate to drop.

Look at all that dark hair!!

This is one proud father!!!

This is Cody's parents.

This is my parents.

This was the first time that i really got to see and hold my princess! You will have to excuse the way I look...as you can see I am very drowsy but was so glad to see and hold her.

Look at that huge smile on Cody's face...can't tell how proud and happy he is?
